Drapery Workroom Manager:

Window Works Studio, Inc. is an established and  growing company that provides soft and hard window treatments to homeowners, interior designers, and commercial businesses. Our in-house workroom is a strong component of our company, providing high-end custom window treatments for our clients. 

We are  looking for an innovative and energetic workroom manager.  The ideal candidate will  manage the day to day operations of our fabrication team.  They will guide projects through our  process, with the end goal of a product that is of the highest quality, made to the customer’s specifications, and efficiently completed. This candidate must have experience in sewing. Specific experience in the area of drapery fabrication is a plus.They must communicate well and be a team player. 

Possible Hours:

• 20 hours per week- $20-$25/hour depending on experience

Compensation: 

• $20/hour- $23/hour depending on experience

Workroom Manager Job Responsibilities:

• Use Air Table and Workforce, to manage the production schedule, assigning hours and jobs to each team member. 
• Provide accurate work orders through communication with the design consultants. Give guidance to each team member, making sure the work order is understood and followed.
• Oversee the quality control process for all products fabricated in our workroom.
• Communicate with the project manager to ensure materials are ready for production and to coordinate the installation of completed products. 
• Facilitate monthly team meetings for the fabrication team.
• Maintain the supplies needed in the workroom and  coordinate  maintenance of workroom equipment. 
• Keep a clean and organized workroom through organizing the team in weekly and monthly cleaning schedules. 
• Provide monthly training for the fabrication team in various areas of drapery fabrication.
